This is a fascinating RSA animate youtube clip. It asks some very broad questions about human nature, evolution, religion and psychology, and puts forward an interesting argument for empathy as being one of our core drives. Empathy can be a difficult concept to grasp (and even more difficult for some to enact).Maybe, if it is indeed part of our core nature, and if collectively we are able to tap into this drive more effectively, it could paint a brighter future for us as a species, and especially for our biological and ecological community on Planet Earth. We'd really recommend taking time out of your day, perhaps over a coffee, to watch and absorb this clip, and to think about your own experience of empathy for those around you.
