The value of this concept map is how it diagrammatically illustrates the association between the various learning theories and the differences between the approaches . A diagram of this type represents a large amount of data /information presented in a simple way . This is particularly important to visual learners

I love infographics like this that depict the 10,000 foot view to show the overall subject, the various theories or parts, and how the pieces fit together and influence one another.

The organization is like a magnetic field, within which each individual has certain role and contribution to make learning possible. The individuals with similar minds and common interests will contribute as a whole, while each of them can benefit from the organization.

Since Illich's 1970 vision of learning webs, society has moved progressively closer to a networked world where content and conversations are continually at our finger tips and instruction and learning are not centered on the educator. The last decade of technological innovation - mobile phones, social media, software agents - has created new opportunities for learners. Learners are capable of forming global learning networks, creating permeable classroom walls.
